Choosing Your Cavapoochon: Colours, Types of Coats and Characteristics
Choosing a Cavapoochon is an exciting experience, and while their adorable teddy bear looks often catch your eye first, there is much more to consider than appearance alone. The Colours and Markings of Cavapoochans
One of the most appealing things about Cavapoochons is the variety of colours and markings they can have. Our puppies are most commonly apricot, ruby or Blenheim, which is a combination of apricot and white. Sable puppies can also occasionally occur.
Some Cavapoochons have a solid-coloured coat, while others may have attractive patches, freckles or more complex markings around their muzzle, legs, eyes, cheeks, chest or tail. This means each puppy can have a wonderfully individual appearance.
What Type of Coat Does a Cavapoochon Have?
Cavapoochons are particularly well known for their soft fleecey coats. Our puppies generally develop a tight, curly coat, although some can have a slightly wavier texture.
Their coats are typically low to non-shedding and low in odour, making the breed popular with families looking for a dog that sheds less around the home. However, these beautiful coats do require regular brushing and grooming to help prevent knots and keep them looking and feeling their best.
Cavapoochon Size and Personality
Our Cavapoochons are bred from F1 Cavachon mums and a Toy Poodle, combining the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bichon Frise and Poodle.
They generally grow to around 10 inches at the shoulder, making them a compact companion. In terms of temperament, Cavapoochons are known for being fun, friendly and affectionate, with low to medium energy levels.
